Truth, memory, imagination
The theme for this workshop, Truth, memory, imagination, is an immersive reflection on writing engaging personal and lyric essays, including the micro essay. Through conversation, writing practices, and examples from the work of Kathleen Jamie, Rebecca Solnit, Phillip Lopate, and others, we will explore key features of essay writing.
Writing is an intimate process where vulnerabilities often arise. For this reason, you will not be expected to read your work to the group.
Suitability: For all writers regardless of experience.
Venue: Berwick-upon-Tweed, Northumberland (not a nature setting)
Date/times: Saturday 1 May 2027 | 10.00am to 5.00pm
