Maps are not the country but offer views of the territory, identifying features, routes and pathways for possible journeys. Similarly, theoretical maps are perspectives to inform talking about experiences in nature and may even help us make sense of these and deepen our connection with the wild. Drawing upon thinking in psychology and transpersonal psychology, this online event is an opportunity to consider perspectives which can inform nature-connectedness explorations. When in nature we leave behind theoretical maps and talk about research, in favour of experiencing what we encounter. For this reason this event provides an opportunity to look at the psychospiritual framework which informs my nature-connectedness explorations, and consider related psychological research, so that we can leave the map behind when we go outside.
