This exploration will consider the theme “deepening into being” alongside those of “transition”, “inscendence” (Thomas Berry), “letting go”, and “gathering in”, to restore balance in our lives. Particular attention will be given to working with dreams or dream fragments as the illuminative voice of “nature within” (Carl Jung). In anticipation of the Autumn Equinox, the day will consist of nature connection explorations, conversation, and contemplative walking.

Gathering deep in the Harthope Valley, in the Northumberland National Park, where the Alders live alongside the Harthope Burn, we will walk up to Housey Crags and Long Crags. With Hedgehope Hill and Threestoneburn Wood in view we will follow a gentle path, then make our descent to Harthope Linn (waterfall). We will then follow the burn to our starting point.
